| The Benefits of becoming
a Member
of the Trust:
Any individual, church or other corporate body may become a member of the Trust, for which the minimum subscription is £20 annually for individuals and £25 for churches. There are at present some 400 individual members, with a further 180 or so corporate members mostly made up of PCCs and similar bodies responsible for the churches and chapels the Trust has supported. These are particularly encouraged to join OHCT. Members and other donors who are subject to income tax can claim for themselves and for the Trust the tax benefits applying to charities by signing a Gift Aid Declaration form either for a single donation or for an indefinite period preferably by signing a Banker’s Order. Those who would wish to become members, or otherwise take advantge of this tax benefit should get in touch with the Membership Secretary, Simon Haviland, printing out and completing the forms on this website, and mailing them to him at the address shown on them. Those who are members of the Trust have the satisfaction of knowing that they are helping to preserve for future generations this important part of our heritage which so often small local communities are unable to do on their own. In addition, the Trust provides a variety of events for its members, including cathedral and church tours, a summer reception and the annual lecture by a distinguished speaker. |
