
| How to seek a Grant from
OHCT for your Church The principal purpose of the Trust is to provide funds for the repair and restoration of churches and chapels of all denominations in the county. Although its name includes the word ‘historic’ the Trust will give consideration to applications for those built in the twentieth as well as those dating from earlier centuries. It also administers some funds for environmental organisations. The Trust does not have sufficient funds to meet all a church’s needs but with grants of up to £20,000 it can help prime the pump and fund a balance between what it can raise from its own efforts and other organisations. It can also help in advising on such fund-raising efforts. Grants
can be made to help churches and chapels
with major repairs or restoration of the fabric and with a wide range
of other projects, full details of which are available on the
